Market values
How we value players
A transparent algorithm, anchored to the real market. No crowd votes, no guesswork.
Every market value on WOMSO Market is computed by an algorithm from real data, then recomputed whenever that data changes. We do not run public polls, and we never invent numbers.
The women's transfer market is moving fast, with new records almost every window. So our values track the real market: when a player moves for a genuine fee, that fee anchors her value. Quality counts too, the same way it does in the men's game. A world-class player is worth a lot whether or not she has ever been sold.
What goes into a value
Real transfer fees
The strongest signal. When a player moves for a genuine, documented fee, that fee anchors her value. Recent moves count fully, older ones fade as form takes over.
International awards
Ballon d'Or, The Best FIFA, UEFA Player of the Year and the FIFPRO World 11. The biggest honours lift the very best, even with no transfer behind them.
National-team level
Senior caps and goals for her country, weighted by how strong that nation is. A regular for a top side counts more than caps for a smaller federation.
Club level & Champions League
Playing for a top European club adds value, and regular Champions League football (or the Europa Cup) adds a premium on top. A few games is normal; a full campaign counts.
Current form & output
Goals, assists and appearances in the current season, computed live from our match-report data. A hot run lifts a value; a quiet spell lets it settle.
Age curve
Prime years (early to late twenties) are valued highest, young talent carries upside, and values taper from the thirties onward. The peak follows the real career arc.
Every league has its own ceiling
A market is only as big as the money in it. So each competition has its own floor and ceiling: the top of the Women's Super League or Liga F reaches far higher than the top of a smaller domestic league. The same playing profile is therefore valued differently depending on where she plays, which keeps every league realistic against its own economy instead of one global yardstick.
What we don't do
- ✕No public polls or crowd votes deciding a value.
- ✕No pay-to-inflate. Nobody can buy a higher number.
- ✕No invented data. Where a fact is missing, we mark it open instead of guessing.
An honest estimate
A market value is an estimate of what a player would command today, not a price tag or an offer. It moves with form, age, contract situation and the market around her. We would rather be transparent and roughly right than precise and unaccountable, and every value gets sharper as our data grows.
